The best try would be the following; shutdown the system and the term.
Use a standard 9-25 null modem cable. Turn on the 700/96, you should
hear 1 initial beep and then .. a second press the user/system key (left
of F5)
press F8 config F5 term config, F5 power on default. then F1 save.
power up the system and it is supposed to auto negoitiate,
baud/stop/etc... you should see some garbadge and then you will get POST
codes along the bottom. If all else fails I have HP cable that if you
are in the US I could send you for cost of shipping.
