Basically I'm planning on taking a C360 workstation kit home.
It's C360 (= an upgraded C240) hooked to a matching 21" monster HP A4576A
monitor: the cable in between is a EVC-to-EVC, each to end. (Is this a
digital signal btw? or just some analog variant in a diff connector?)
My predicament is - I really don't want to lug home the matching HP 40kg
monster monitor. If life was easy I'd have a TFT screen with a EVC
connector, which I don't. But I do have access to PC TFT screens, with DB15
VGA and DVI connectors. Is there an "easy" way to do use such a screen?
Supported? ..ish?
I wouldn't want to start this off with any X install freaking out on me with
out-of-sync DDC monitor probing/setting. <- Old Linux installs.
If any HP-UX install (I have B11.11 CDs I think) sort of requires a
"supported HP monitor" as the one above, I'd appreciate that info to, bite
the bullet and lug the "monster" home too. I'll just have to throw away the
ski's, winter clothes, and the homemeade shelves inside the closet where I
planned to put the darn thing....
--> I don't want a headless box either, even if it's possible. <- This man
is lazy and want to this with as few stop-gaps as possible.. (and he's a
newbie! :-)
