IIRC changing the root user to any other shell makes the box officially
"unsupported". Depending on your circumstances this may be significant.
(Anybody from HP knows cannon on this, please feel free to correct me.)
HP indeed does not support people who intentionally break their
systems! :-)
But seriously, the right way is to exec the non-standard shell in
root's .profile. See the other responses on how to set this up.
