PCNFS & WINDOWS SERVICES FOR UNIX

Hello, I am working as an admin for my company. We use windows and unix
servers. Our production server is an hp9000 pa-risc server running
hp-ux 11.11i...
I setup windows services for unix on one of our windows servers, so we
could share files to and from the windows servers and the hpux servers.
I also set up username mapping, so we can map our windows users to
their unix logins.. It all works good except for one problem... I
cannot map any windows user to root on the hpux server. Every time i
create a file as the root account in windows, it gives it an anonymus
user id, and it puts the group on the file to - 'no group' ... any
other mapping works fine, files get their proper ownership and group
permissions.
We are not using NIS... we are running our server as a trusted system,
and I generated the usermaps from the hpux passwd and group files..
I talked with HP... the only possible cause they could see was that we
mite need to install patches for PCNFS because, theyre have never been
any installed on our system. And the pcnfs version on the server hasnt
been updated since 2000 when the OS was installed...
Any ideas??
.
