i have a Problem..
i have a Visualize J5600 and HP-UX installed on it..
So i want to go Online with the machine and surf in the Internet..
But i dont know what i do wrong...
I installed HP-UX and run SAM
I am from Germany and my provider is T-Online.. my Router has the IP:
192.168.2.1
i use the router as DHCP Server
I'd avoid DHCP in a small home LAN. Shouldn't be too difficult to give the few devices it's own IPs.
My config in sam is:
Network and Communications - DNS (BIND) - DNS Resolver
Query Order (1) - Server IP Adress (192.168.2.1)
Network and Communications - Routes
Destination (default) - Gateway Address (192.168.2.1)
Seems to be correct so far.
What are the settings in your resolv.conf?
Network Interface Cards:
DHCP is Enabled...
I'd disable DHCP and give the box a fixed IP.
SO where is the Problem?
Hard to say with so sparse details. Did you check if the machine gets an IP assigned? Can you ping other devices in your LAN? Can you ping IP adresses outside your LAN?
BTW: Your post is much easier to read if you don't insert an empty line after each sentence.
