Hi,
We have a machine with this Configuration.
HP rp3440,
2 x 1 GHz PA RISC 8800 CPU
4GB RAM
2 x 72 GB HDD(mirrored)
In this machine HP-UX-11i version 1.0 is running. We want to keep
this OS in 1 hard disk and in the other
hard disk we want to install HP-UX11iv3. Pl advice me on the steps
involved in achieving the above.
Thanks in advance,
Jayanthi
-the first thing you need to do is to strip down the mirror I
guess . . .
read#man lvextend -m
# for lvol in lvol1 lvol2 ... lvol8 (specify all mirrored lvols)
do
lvextend -m 0 /dev/vg00/$lvol /dev/dsk/c1t6d0
done
then
# vgreduce /dev/vgXX /dev/dsk/c.t.d.
-if you have a RAID mirror then you should check the RAID
documentation
-check with #man setboot how it's your boot configured
-after doing that fell free to boot 11.31 media and install it on your
second disks
-you need to know the hw path to each one
-rp3440 is supported with 11.31
.
