No. You need nothing -- it should just work (at least with recent
drivers. I doubt it can see the difference between ESI+Tex and MXE from
software, though it might be the driver version (i.e., IRIX 6.5.x
flavour) that's different.
What is the *exact* message? I doubt it wants OpenGL 1.2 - IIRC,
O2s don't have that, and neither does Impact/SI etc. (though
Vpro V6-V12 do have that). i.e.: I doubt *your* OpenGL driver is
implementing OpenGL 1.2 as well, and if people have used -vo gl2
on O2s and Octane R12K-300 (which usu means SI->MXE) they didn't
have either..
