It's prabably better to reduce that to the services you really need.
Things like "Internet Sharing" doesn't make any sense when this task is
already handled by your Router ... .

Right now it won't work, as the MacOS Filesharing uses AFP (over TCP/IP)
    - I don't think the SGI can handle that out-of-the-box. The easiest way
to configure sharing via NFS on the Mac is a nice little App called 'NFS
    Manager' <http://www.bresink.de/osx/NFSManager.html> (it's Shareware,
    15,- EUR).

If you really do know MacOS X you can insert the necessary entries
directly into the NetInfo-Database, it's also passible to import a fstab
    with static mounts.

Yes, that's because you don't have a NFS Share on your Mac yet.

I don't like the "Network"-Panel. You can look for NFS-Shares on your
SGI with abovementioned 'NFS Manager' or you try <command>-<k> ("Connect
to Server ...") in the Finder. You get a small window where you can type
    something like "nfs://192.168.1.4/name/of/export" - though I didn't test
    it.

And as MacOS X is a UNIX, you can alway try something like 'sudo mount
    nfsserver:/exported/path /private/mnt' in 'Terminal.app'. This won't be
    alive after a reboot.

    Bye,

    Dominik.
