Hi all,
I have just performed a clean install of IRIX 6.5.15m onto my
workstation. Many cd-roms were shuffled in and out of drives, but it
was all worth it!
Surfing round the net I see that SGI have released IRIX 6.5.22m and
it's available for download from their site. Cool!
Can someone give me (a relative SGI newbie) a heads up on what I would
have to do upgrade my system?
I have the gz files downloaded but can't find any understandable
instruction on performing the upgrade. I've upacked the tar and it
gives me a whole list of files ... but ... what now?
Do I have to burn these onto CD-R (with any special options) or do I
point swmanager to this folder-full-o'-files?
Any pointers, or guides (concepts etc) gratefully accepted ... I'm
more than happy to invest some time and do the legwork ... just need a
wee pointer in the right direction...
Many thanks in advance,
P.
