Trying to export vmware onto an O2 ...

    Hi All,

    O2 running IRIX 6.5.15 with access to sgi freeware (GTK+ installed)
    ...

    Trying to run vmware on a linux box and export the results via the
    network to my main machine (o2).

    Anybody, seen a similar error message ... (from telnet session on
    linux host)

    $DISPLAY=toaster:0
    $export DISPLAY
    $vmware

    Gdk-ERROR **: Badmatch (invalid paramater attributes)
      serial 564 error_code 8 request_code 72 minor code 0
    Gdk-ERROR **: Badmatch (invalid paramater attributes)
      serial 576 error_code 8 request_code 72 minor code 0

    ... works OK with linux machine on local console (without the export
    bit, obvs..)

    xterms and xclock are good to go...

    Any "hints for a clue" gratefully accepted...

      ... i could reproduce this with a linux virtual machine on vmware - whenever i suspended the windows host with a linux vm running in vmware, after resume the linux vm showed exactly this issue. ... Clock has stopped, ...
