I've got this updated for one of my programs. It goes something like
this:

#!/sbin/sh
#
#blah blah author's credits
#
#
cd /folder/directory/
patchfile file_to_patch 0x15e9302f 0x25eo392 0x929r928
patchfile file_to_patch 0x15e9302f 0x25eo392 0x929r928
patchfile file_to_patch 0x15e9302f 0x25eo392 0x929r928
patchfile file_to_patch 0x15e9302f 0x25eo392 0x929r928
#
#
#

(Where 'file_to_patch' is an actual filename)
So from what I can see, it's executing a 'patchfile' command on the
file_to_patch file. I assume it's editing some hex values in the
file... When I execute this file from a shell, it just says "command
not found", or something like that... Basically, there's a problem with
this 'patchfile' command, whatever it is...

There is no programm named 'patchfile' on a IRIX installation.

Does this mean your octane boots again?`
