You also should have a look into 'IRIX Admin: Software Installation and
Licensing'
Probably the most important question: do you have the original IRIX
installation CDs or at least 100% clones?
You may also start fx in expert mode (with option -x) so you can
initialize the hard disk, and install IRIX on a 'new' disk. In this case
the installtion program will handle to copy necessary files into disk
header after partitioning.
