Ok. I managed to have a look at the CD on an Indy:

    % ls /CDROM/stand
    fx.ARCS fx.IP4 ide.IP20 sash.IP12 sash.IP5 sash.IP9
    fx.IP12 fx.IP5 ide.IP22 sash.IP17 sash.IP6 sashARCS
    fx.IP17 fx.IP6 ide.IP6 sash.IP4 sash.IP7

And using fx to look at the label (that is the volume header, is it not?):

    fx/label/show> d

    ----- directory entries-----
     0: sgilabel block 32 size 512 6: sash.IP7 block 51581 size 239840
     1: io4prom block 33 size 697410 7: sash.IP9 block 52050 size 239840
     2: mr block 1396 size 25038336 8: sashARCS block 52519 size 140612
     3: sash.IP4 block 50299 size 212416 9: sashIP12 block 52794 size 249280
     4: sash.IP5 block 50714 size 23984010: sashIP17 block 53281 size 277104
     5: sash.IP6 block 51183 size 203776

    Entry 9 looks quite promising.

The CD is original SGI, labeled "IRIX 5.3 for Indy" 812-0336-002 08/95.
So it does seem that this one is "all platform" after all. Great!

    Andrew.
