Sorry, I meant to ask a totally different question! I am not concerned
with xterms, winterms, consoles et cetera. I tried all that you posted
but were unsuccessful.

What I wanted to ask involved the environment that I am given when I
log into SGI. The interface containing the small Desktop window of things
to do such as setting system settings.

In that very first interface, I have a tiny red pointer that I would
like to change to another one. Eg: A larger size pointer to click on
the Desktop options

How do I do that?
