Since the two frame buffers have the same bad behavior it may be
environmental. LCD's are not as susceptible as CRT's but they can
still be bothered by interference. You might want to try a different
physical location and/or a different power outlet, moving the monitor
farther from other electrical devices, etc. If you have some extra
ferrites try clamping them onto the video cable, which should already
have at least one.
Basically, just try narrowing down the cause then look for a solution.
