Basic Question Solaris 9 installation

We are currently using SCO Unix and have a plan to migrate it to Sun Solaris 9.
We've got an old Sun Sparc and installation guide for testing. It looks like it
is not easy for us to understand how to install it because there are lots of
stuffs in the guide. We don't have any experience with Sun Solaris. We think all
Unix is very simliar. As for SCO Unix, it is pretty much easy to install.
All we have to do is inserting diskettes and C/Ds by instruction. Can anyone
tell to us the simple installation method (initial installation)? Any simple
procedure of it?
