I'm not sure how well it works on files that large, as that requires a
stripe of drives to obtain anywhere close to 1 TB's worth of data. While
I rely on UFS logging for many things, I hate to rely on Disksuite for any
of my striping or mirroring needs and tend to go twards the Veritas side
of that house. And if you're using Veritas to mirror/stripe, may as well
use Vxfs too. :)
I use UFS Journaling when VxFS isn't called for, which is most of the time
for our servers in my Data Center. VxFS+Volume Manager are only used for
Raid 1+0 on A1000's while Veritas Volume Manager is used for Mirroring the
internal disks on our Sun Servers which end up being mounted as
UFS+Logging option. Our setup here is probably more complicated than it
really needs to be, but it is very very stable and that's the whole point
behind the veritas products for the most part.
