I am trying to set up a new installation of Solaris 8 on a Sun 3500. I dont
know the pwd for the current OS. When the installation from the CD gets to
the section for setup of the disks it reports an error. The error is
"Cannot find disks make sure disks are cabled properly with power". There
are a total of four disks. The disks appear to be powered properly as the
lights on the disks light up. They plug directly into the Sun slots. The
only message that seems to be strange is during inital information the
system reports " The system doesnt support dynamic reconfiguration" I am
not sure what this message means.
How do I get the system to recognize the drives.
