I downloaded the three main Sol 9 12/03 files from Sun's website,
unzipped them, and then burned the ISOs to CDs using Easy CD Creator 5.
This is precisely what Sun's website says to do.
But the CDs don't work. When I try to boot from the installation CD, I
get lots of data errors. When I try to boot from Software CD #1 the
system hangs.
So, what are the secret steps that are missing from Sun's CD creation
instructions?
(I tried to use these on a Sun Blade 100, by the way. I hope it's not
something stupid, like Sol 9 12/03 is "too new" for that hardware.)
