I heard the wildest stories about the quality of Mr. Schilling's driver,
from corrupted disks to kernel panics to hardware defects.. so that I'd be
not too happy if I had to install it on a productive system. But trying to
compile cdrtools fails here anyways due to errors in what Schilling calls a
build script.. (gnu-make option searches for Sun cc, etc...) so I'll look for
an alternative.
