Two things.
1. wildest stories is not a URL : >
I have been using scg since Solaris 7. No panics yet.
Until now I hadn't heard that story.

2. "productive" systems are usually left alone anyway as much as possible.
Burn CDs elsewhere.
I use an SS20 for CD burning. I suspect even an IPX might suffice..

Sounds like you have /usr/ucb in your PATH. Using GNU make isnt a good
idea either. I think you need to read the docs and the FAQ about those
issues. Remove /usr/ucb from your PATH and try /usr/ccs/bin/make instead.
