Are you sure you're reading the manual for the 3310 JBOD? As far as
complexity there is zero difference between the D2 and 3310 JBOD. In fact,
in terms of most everything there's very little difference - the only real
difference is that the 3310 is smaller (2RU) and faster (U160/320 SCSI)

Correct. They are an OEM'ed Dot Hill array.
