I really don't know if the cases are the same. I doubt it though.

The docs on the Sun website only go back to the Qube 2.

The basic idea is that you need to connect via ethernet the Qube and
another system. Then boot the other system from the CD-ROM (which you
made from the iso you downloaded) to load the Qube image over the
network. The only catch is that not all ethernet cards are supported.
  You'll just have to keep trying until you find one that works. I'm
just not sure what the list of supported cards for the Qube 1 install is.
