I have a sun blade 100 and ran sys-unconfig then rebooted. i would like to
reconfigure the w/s as dhcp client. the dhcp server is my linksys router.
after rebooting, it bypass the dhcp menu. also, how can i completely remove
the old ip address from memory. for some reason, it knows the previous ip.
why reconfiguring to dhcp client?
i don't know why with a static ip, i was not able to surf the net. netscape
was complaining about SOCKS configuration or name server not found. but when
it was orginally configured as dhcp client, i was able to connect to the
internet without a problem.
