Problem with pkgadd (checkinstall)

Hi folks,

I have presently a problem with a Solaris 8 system.
I I want to perform a pkgadd I always get a error like this :

/root/108528-29/SUNWapchd/install/checkinstall:
/root/108528-29/SUNWapchd/install/checkinstall: cannot open
pkgadd: ERROR: checkinstall script did not complete successfully
Dryrun complete.
No changes were made to the system.

So on my system there's a problem with performing a checkinstall.

Does anyone know, what could be the problem and how to find out
more ?
