    It sounds like your sysidcfg file is mising some relevent details.
    Not sure why you are using a NIS bootparams when you say your server is
    not NIS.

    Try using JET http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/content/jet/ , its a great
    framework for making JumpStart easier to use and manage.

    One installed, you setup a template for you client, amend the
    configuration variables for your desired setup and then after running
    make_clinet you can "boot net - install"

    You can use your current installed images by running add_solaris_location
    after installation.
