hquest@gmail.com (Alexandre Hautequest) writes in comp.sys.sun.admin:
|And will it have an upgrade from beta, or only by a fresh install?
You can do an upgrade using the OS installer, but if anything goes
wrong, you're on your own. Support only covers upgrade from actual
releases, not betas or express releases. (I actually do upgrade
between the internal builds all the time and it usually works, but
occasionally bugs are found and manual intervention is required.)
|I mean, PatchPro was handyful, but didn't work anymore in 10 beta.
You mean because there are no patches built for Solaris 10 until it's
released? It would exponentially increase the amount of work required
to produce Solaris Express & Beta releases if we built patches for them
too.
