Hi, my name is David. I've had similar problems with a HP server. The
machines require a specil install CD which provides the drivers for the
RAID array or other disk controllers. I am not certain this is the
answer, but from the description you gave this sounds the same. Try
going to the manufacturer's web page and see if a download of install CD
is available, otherwise you might contact the manufacturer's sales rep
directly and ask for some support. Many of these companies will gladly
assist someone like yourself.
I have noticed that some OS's will load regardless... like I could get
Linux to load on the HP LR2000 server without the driver. However when
I attempted to load additional software from the CD drive I got an error
that said "impossible RAID controller state..." shutting down to prevent
data loss. Go figure..
Regards my friend
David
