This is fairly common - the next thing to try is to spin the drive down
from the front panel, failing that you will have to simply pull the
drive.
On Solaris 8+, you can usually then get away with add the replacement
disk, and spinning it up from the front panel, device links are sorted
automatically.
On earlier versions you may need to use luxadm insert.
Don't forget vxdctl enable if you are using VxVM.
