But of course, we do!
Sun has had a "Sun-on-Sun" policy for many years - where at all possible
we use Sun products for everything internally.
Personally, my desktop is a SunRay running JDS (Solaris 9 only at the moment,
SRSS is coming for S10 but not here yet). My wordprocessor/etc is
StarOffice. Mail is on Sun's Mail Server, and calender on our calender
product (whatever they are called this week...)
My webserver runs Solaris 10, and has for almost 2 years.
My notebook run Solaris 10, and has for over 6 months.
There are people within Sun who run MS Office, but they are few and far
between (locally at least, I can't talk for other countries), and running
Outlook without senior management approval is a sackable offence...
Of course, Sun don't write software to do everything, and for those
products we'll go with something external, but the percentage of Sun itself
which runs on Sun hardware and software is probably far higher than you'd
expect!
Scott.
