I'm looking for some help with Solaris 5.8 ufs disk mounting option.
I have a disk that has some bad spots but I need to retrieve as much
data as possible. I can validate it later, now I need to get it off.
The ufs mount has three possible options for onerror=,
panic, lock, or umount. The default is to panic.
Does anyone know of an undocumented option that would allow me
to set onerror=null, and not perform anything when a bad spot is encountered ?
Also helpful would be a command that will tell me which files
is occupied by a particular block number. I think the old command
icheck used to do this, but it is no longer around.
Thanks for assistance you might be able to provide.
Sincerely,
Ben Abernathy
