which os for v40z

At the risk of starting a war :-)

Which OS for v40Z (4xAMD 850 cpu)
Machine is for numerical modelling, need to run in 64 bit mode.

Solaris 10 or Linux Suse 9.2 ??

We run both Solaris(Sparc) (v7,8,9) and Suse 9.x on P-IV in our shop, so
learning curve is not an issue. It is really a performance question.

This is our first 4 way AMD system where performance is the primary goal.
Are there any other factors i should consider?
