Hi there,
This is my second week with Sun Blade 1000 and Solaris 10, and so far
the frustration hasn't stopped quite yet! It's really too bad, because
the performance seemed very good from the little time I had to test the
B1K...
I got this system with 2x18GB HD, installed Solaris 10, everything
worked just fine...
I then purchased 2x36GB drives to replace the 18GB and all hell broke
loose... Trying a "boot cdrom" returns "Memory Address not Aligned"
and/or "Fast Data Access MMU Miss"?!?!?!? What's up with that???
cdrom is apparently recognized as I see the light go on and I can hear
the DVD spinning (brand new Media from Sun).
The only thing I can think of that would be different is the fact that
these drives are HP OEM, with HP firmware, but shouldn't it be a simple
(re)format case then?
Worse, if I try to put my old 18GB in there, I also get a Memory Address
Not Aligned".
Can anybody enlighten me?
Thanks in advance!
