Hi!
We configured coreadm so that core dumps will be placed to /var/crash.
OS = SOLARIS8
Loggin is on and that is what in /var/adm/messages appears:
Nov 18 15:00:10 xprod01 genunix: [ID 603404 kern.notice] NOTICE: core_log:
ctxwm[27689] core rlimit is zero, core not dumped:
/var/crash/core.27689.sun4u.1132322410.ctxwm
Nov 18 15:08:05 xprod01 genunix: [ID 603404 kern.notice] NOTICE: core_log:
sdtperfmeter[9810] core rlimit is zero, core not dumped:
/var/crash/core.9810.sun4u.1132322885.sdtperfmeter
Does anybody know why rlimit should be zero and core dump will not be
written?
In /etc/system we have placed:
set rlim_fd_max = 4096
set rlim_fd_cur = 256
Thanks in advanced!
Regards
Heinz
