It's my understanding that Solaris 8 has been or is shortly going to be
"end of lifed" as an OS. However, as long as Sun is making money off
the certifications and training- they will continue the Solaris 8
certs. My sources at Sun have not indicated that this cert is going
away yet. Because you already passed part1, I would recommend that you
take Solaris 8 cert part 2. Then, plan to take an upgrade exam later
to get to Solaris 9 or 10.
