Building Bootable Flash DVD

I'm trying to build a bootable flash DVD. If I build the DVD with a
flar file less that 1GB, everything works as expected. If the flar
file is greater than 1GB, when I try to boot from it, the system hangs.
The ISO that I burn to the DVD is greater than 2GB.
Is there a problem building a flash DVD with a flar greater than 1GB?
