I know. I just fail to figure out how to change the existing entry for
gnome-terminal in Launch->Applications->Utilities->Terminal to use any
parameter at all. :|

Right-click on "Terminal", select "Properties" and then add the
--geometry parameter to the "Command" entry in the "Basic" tab.
