I wrote a doc to make disksuite install a little easier to understand (especially for first timers). Its based on version 4 , where the paths to the commands and config files are a little different to the later versions, but once you substitute the different paths its pretty much the same.
you can find it on our website under resources-> documents

Hi,.
I have a e450 server that currently have three hardisk without RAID
configuration, to prevent system failure due to disk error i want to
setup a RAID configuration on the server.
I am thinking of adding two disk to the server to implement a 4+1 Raid
5 setup, but then i found out that e450 does not provide hardware Raid.
I does not have experience setting up software Raid. so i want to ask
anyone here with experience in implementing the software Raid with
Disksuite about the following:
- do i need to reinstall the solaris OS to implement software Raid?
- will data on disk be removed when the array is activated?
- how complex is the process of setting up a Raid 5 array with
DiskSuite?
Thanks & Regards
