I'm searching any suggestion about upgrade solaris 8 to solaris 10.
All about this procedure.
Problem?
Tips?
People said to erase all the mirror (disksuite).
People said to install all the reccomended patch under solaris 8 and then migrate.
People said.........
Whatever else you do or don't do, make a backup of your boot disk. It's good
practice to back up the entire system. Make two copies and send one off site. 99% of upgrades are done without problems. The other 1% can cost your your job and any hope of getting good references! If an upgrade goes wrong, you have a backup. and are able to restore it, the only harm done is that you have wasted some time. If you have never done an upgrade before, try to get someone who has to help you.
