I have a disk with a few bad blocks, and that should not be a big deal,
but as I have several ways to solve my problem, and none of them seems
very pleasingly to me, I would like your opinions...
I'd say detach the side of the mirror that is definitely bad and remove the
disk from the system.
Then if you can boot off a Solaris 10 CD-ROM you can go into format on the
disk with the read error.
Do either an analyze->read or an anlyze->refresh while booted off the CD.
This will take long time on a disk of your size, but will hopefully mark any
bad blocks as bad and remap them.
Then you can fsck all the slices with filesystems using the raw device for
the physical disk as opposed to the meta device.
If everything passes then the disk is good enough and you'll be able to boot
off it.
Replacing the second drive and mirroring back the data will be simple at
that point.
Once your mirror disk is restored you can replace the main drive if you're
still paranoid it is going to totally fail soon.
