path problem

Hi,

I've got a question regarding calling stuff from within
shell scripts.

Why is it a combination of some sh/awk files residing in
the same dir suddenly needs the callees absolute path when put to my own home dirs 'bin' dir?
Normally files residing in the same dir don't need this.

Some Unixes show other peculiarities in this regard so it
might basically be an OS specific matter. I have to admit
I never payed attention to this very much but sometimes
it can be a real annoyance.
