The corrupt label; wrong magic number means that the disk hasn't been
labelled yet. Have you labelled it?

I've put 18G and 36G drives in my Ultra-1 no problem.

SCSI usually is no problem. Its IDE thats the revolving standard as
they keep changing the way you need to access it on the HW level to
accomidate larger and larger drives.
