Depends how far you want to take the "same machine" meaning. There were a
number of differences between certain models of the U5 and U10. eg, the
U5 came with CPU speeds of 270/333/360/400Mhz, whilst the U10 is
300/333/360/440Mhz. That said, the system board is the same thing, so
barring cooling (and support!) there's nothing to stop you mixing and
matching CPU speeds...
So yes, they are the same machine to a point, but physical isn't the only
difference.
