And as a result, surprisingly enough, you got the xdpyinfo indicating
the properties and capabilities of WinaXe, not the SPARC laptop. If
you want to be useful to the original poster, would you please do the
same from the laptop itself instead of remote access via a third party
X server?

(BTW WinaXe is up to 6.7 last I heard)
