I bought my V240 with a single 36Gb drive (minimal) and want to populate
the four bays with 18Gb Seagate Cheetahs (ST318203LC's) but I'm
    experiencing the following:

With just the 36Gb in bay 0, all is ok.

If I add an 18Gb drive to bay 1, LOM announces the insertion of the
drive as HDD1, probe-scsi-all sees the drive, but format and cfgadm
    don't see it.

If I add an 18Gb drive in bay 2, the green light comes on and stays on.
LOM announces the insertion of the drive as HDD2, probe-scsi-all sees
    it, format/cfgadm don't.

If I only have an 18Gb drive in bay 1, booting from cdrom, LOM and
probe-scsi-all see it, but the boot loader claims that it's powered off...

Anybody know what's going on here? I eventually want to put two 18Gb
drives in here (mirrored) and place my storage externally. 36Gb seems a
bit excessive for a boot disk...

    Thanks,
