In case this is really a search for a RAID controller - the D1000 being
a JBOD and all - as opposed to a HVD HBA:
CMD made external SCSI-SCSI RAID controllers which also were available in
HVD configurations. I have one of those, but in a four channel SE config.
As for (PCI) HVD HBAs, forget about Adaptec for Sun SPARC machines.
I'd look at the LSI/Symbios LSI/SYM22802 dual-channel HVD HBA. This is
exactly what Sun used to sell for/with the D1000, since it too can be split
into two busses. The (glm) driver is part os stock Solaris.
