I have several Netra T1 AC200 machines that have been obselesced in my
production networks (no longer being used), yet I also have a dire need for
big, cheap, RAID'ed disk space.
I'd like to find hardware RAID arrays that utilize (basically off-the-shelf)
IDE hard disks, connect on the existing SCSI ports of my Netra T1 boxes, and
support RM6 for Solaris 8 or come with RAID management software that runs on
Solaris 8.
Does anyone know how I can buy/build such a device? I've found a few
possibilities looking around on the net, but they're frightfully expensive
and none seems to be an exact fit. I run A1000s with dual-channel SCSI
cards on my newer production plants, but the cost of going that route is
totally ridiculous.
Thanks in advance for any help!
