how to add a disk to sun v100?

I added a 2nd IDE drive to my V100. At the prom monitor OK prompt it
sees and shows the disk when I do PROBE-IDE. I booted the system with
"boot -r". When I run the format command it doesn't show the new
disk.

What else do I need to do?
