Sun don't make HDDs, they just rebadge 3rd party drives. I just put a
Seagate 10K 72GB FC-AL drive into my SB1K with no problems. AFAIK any 1"
fibre channel drive should work with the SB1K.
I guess the approach that you take here is dependent on whether you have
a support contract for the machine or not. If you don't then I would
advocate buying a third party disk. If you don't have the 1" Spud
bracket you can pick one up on eBay for $10.
