Hi all,
we are running an Enterprise 450 with Solaris 2.6. Since this system has
grown over the years with several people having their fingers on it I'm
trying to figure out what really goes on "inside".
11 of the 20 disk slots are populated (slot 0 and 2-12) and every disk
led is green. However, the software only shows me 10 disks. Is there a
way to find out whether the remaining disk still works or to get
information about it? Does it have to show up as defect somewhere?
I can't figure out the slot number for this disk (it should be c2t2) by
the way named in "Platform Notes: Ultra 450 Workstation and Ultra
Enterprise 450 Server", Chapter 4 (prtconf -vp and then grep for the
physical device name). Could this be because all disks except c0t0 are
handled by the Sun Enterprise Volume Manager 2.5?
Thanks for any help,
/Christian
